Booking conditions

With your booking, you reserve “The BLUE casa” or “The BLUE casa+finca” (depending on your selection) in Puntagorda for the number of people and the period booked.
The reservation becomes binding for both parties only after receipt of the first down payment. As long as this payment has not been paid, the landlord reserves the right to rent the vacation home to someone else for the same period.
The down payment is 20% of the accommodation price (excluding final cleaning). The remaining payment (including final cleaning) must be made no later than 4 weeks before the start of the trip. After booking, you will receive an invoice with payment instructions and deadlines at your registered email address.

As security for the furnishings and equipment provided, the tenant shall pay the landlord a deposit of EUR 550. The deposit must be paid no later than 7 days before arrival and does not bear interest. It will be refunded to the tenant within 14 days after the end of the rental period, provided that no damage has been caused to the rental property. You will find the payment link for the deposit in your booking confirmation.
All prices include 7% Canary Islands sales tax (IGIC).

Cancellation policy:

If the tenant cancels (terminates) the contract before the start of the rental period without naming a new tenant who will enter into the contract under the same conditions, the following pro-rata rent shall be payable as compensation, taking into account the ancillary costs saved, provided that it is not possible to rent the property to another party:

Cancellation after conclusion of the contract:
- up to 90 days before the start of the rental period: 20% of the rental price
- from 89 to 60 days before the start of the rental period: 30% of the rental price
- from 59 days to 30 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
- From 29 days to 15 days before the start of the rental period: 80% of the rental price
- From 14 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price excluding cleaning fees.

We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance, as La Palma tends to be booked long in advance and it is not easy to find a replacement tenant at short notice.
If the tenant terminates the stay prematurely, they remain obliged to pay the full rental price.
Cancellation or termination can only be made in writing. The date of receipt of the declaration by the landlord is decisive.
Liability and obligations of the tenant
The rental property, including the furniture and other items in it, must be treated with care. The tenant must urge the persons accompanying and/or visiting him to exercise care. The tenant is liable for any culpable damage to the rental property, the furniture, or other items in the rental property caused by him or persons accompanying him.
Defects that arise when taking over the rental property and/or during the rental period must be reported to the landlord immediately in an appropriate form.
The tenant is requested to check the inventory list in the rental property immediately upon arrival and to report any missing items to the landlord or the contact person designated by the landlord no later than the day following arrival.
Animals are not permitted in the rental property.

House rules:

The tenant undertakes to comply with the house rules. These are available in the rental property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rental property. This also applies to e-cigarettes and similar devices.
At the end of the rental period, the tenant must vacate the rental property and hand it over to the landlord/property manager in a clean and tidy condition, and return the key(s) to the landlord/property manager.

We wish you a wonderful vacation in La Palma!
