Puntagorda, as La Palma once was
Puntagorda sits at around 600 m between pines and almond trees on the sheltered, sunny west side of La Palma — with a spectacular cliff coast and a wide view of the Atlantic. Mass tourism is unheard of here; life still follows the island's rhythm.
Restaurants, shops and the award-winning organic farmers' market are a few minutes' walk away.

Almond blossom & mountains
Puntagorda is famous for its almond trees: in late January the almond blossom turns the village into a white sea, celebrated with the “Fiesta del Almendro en Flor”. Above it rises the Roque de los Muchachos, at 2,426 m the island's highest point.
