Reservation terms
Booking, payment, cancellation
With your booking you reserve “The BLUE Casa” or “The BLUE Casa + Finca” (depending on your choice) in Puntagorda for the number of guests and the period booked. All prices include 7 % IGIC (Canary VAT).
Booking & payment
The reservation becomes binding on both sides only upon receipt of a deposit of 20 % of the accommodation price (excluding final cleaning). Until then, the owner reserves the right to let the property to others. The balance including final cleaning is due at the latest 4 weeks before arrival; after booking you will receive an invoice with payment instructions and deadlines by email.
Security deposit
As security for furnishings and equipment, the guest pays a deposit of EUR 550, at the latest 7 days before arrival. The deposit bears no interest and is refunded within 14 days after the end of the stay, provided no damage has occurred.
Cancellation
If the guest cancels without naming a replacement who enters on the same terms, the following proportions of the rent are payable — provided no other letting is possible and less any saved incidental costs:
- up to 90 days before start: 20 %
- 89–60 days before: 30 %
- 59–30 days before: 50 %
- 29–15 days before: 80 %
- from 14 days before: 100 % (excl. incidental costs)
Cancellation must be in writing; the date of receipt by the owner is decisive. In the event of early departure, the full rent remains payable. As La Palma tends to be booked well in advance, we recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
Guest obligations & house rules
The property must be treated with care; the guest is liable for culpable damage caused by themselves and accompanying or visiting persons. Defects must be reported immediately; an inventory list is provided in the property. Keeping animals is not permitted. Smoking indoors is strictly prohibited, expressly including e-cigarettes and similar. At the end of the stay, the property must be handed over cleared and swept clean and the key(s) returned.
Governing law & jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the state in which the guest, as a consumer, has their habitual residence remain unaffected. Towards consumers the statutory places of jurisdiction apply; for disputes relating to the property located in Spain, the Spanish courts may also have jurisdiction.
EU dispute resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
We already wish you a wonderful holiday on La Palma!
